Titanoboa monster snake the world’s biggest snake ever lived. The Titanoboa giant snake replica will be in display at New York Grand Central Station on Thursday, March 22, 2012, as reported by several international news sites.
Reports said, commuters of New York will be amazed in the replica of Titanoboa monster snake to be displayed in the New York Grand Central Station in a full-scale replica of a 48-foot-long, 2,500-pound.
Randall Kremer, a Smithsonian spokesperson, revealed that the monster Titanoboa snake is meant to “scare the daylights out of people” and to “communicate science to a lot of people.”
According to Smithsonian Channel, in the pantheon of predators, it’s one of the greatest discoveries since the T-Rex: a snake 48 feet long, weighing in at 2,500 pounds. Uncovered from a treasure trove of fossils in a Colombian coal mine, this serpent is revealing a lost world of giant creatures. Travel back to the period following the extinction of dinosaurs and encounter this monster predator.
The Titanoboa monster snake exhibit will start on March 30 as part of the Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of Natural History in D.C.
