Music star Rihanna donated $1.75 million to a hospital in memory of her late grandmother, Gran Gran Dolly.
Getting into the spirit of this season, the Pop star is so generous in donating $1.75 million to a hospital in Bridgetown, Barbados.
According to reports of E! Online, Rihanna visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown last Saturday with her mother Monica Fenty and Dolly’s husband Lionel alongside her.
Rihanna’s statement to E! News:
“This was my way of giving back to Barbados, in a form of philanthropy, by assisting the QEH in its continued modernization program…I believe that this will have a huge impact on the people of Barbados. This was all done to save lives or at least extend them.”
Report says the donation proceeds will go on buying additional medical equipment in radiotherapy department and to be renamed the Clara Braithwaite Centre for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine.
