Giant George was awarded two titles from the Guinness Book of World records, “Tallest Dog Ever” and “Tallest Living Dog” has *died*.

George is owned by David and Christine Nasser of Tucson, Arizona, USA. David Nasser is the author of the book entitled, “Giant George: Life with the World’s Biggest Dog.

As stated on Giant George official website, the world’s tallest dog by Guinness World Records, died last Thursday, October 17, 2013.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce Giant George died on Thursday, October 17, 2013. George passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones; one month before his eighth birthday.
We appreciate the love and support you have given Giant George over the last several years. We look forward to honoring his spirit by continuing his charitable works.

Giant George the world’s tallest dog is a Great Dane, George received certificate from Guinness World Records as The Tallest Dog Ever in February 2010, who measured 1.092 m (43 in) tall and weighs over 245 pounds.

Giant George appeared in different shows in like OPRAH show and Good Morning America, George also featured in Cesar’s Way and Instyle magazine.
