Geneva Motor Show 2012: Car of the Year “Chevrolet Volt” and “Opel Ampera”

The Geneva Motor Show 2012 was the 82nd International Motor Show and accessories in Geneva on March 8-18, 2012, the world’s premiere in car industry.

For the first time, the winner of the title “Car of the Year” was chosen at the Geneva Motor Show, votes form the 59 judges the title “Car of the Year 2012” was selected by the distinct panel of judges. With the total score of 330 points, “Chevrolet Volt” and “O

pel Ampera” won the title, follows by Volkswagen Up and Ford Focus with total score of 281 points and 256 points respectively. With the total of 35 cars competing against each other and only seven had made it to the finals.

The criteria for judging is based on the comfort, performance, designed, efficiency and technological innovation they offered.

Chevrolet President and Managing Director of Europe Susan Dochery and Opel/Vauxhall CEO Karl-Fredrich Stracke received the award.
