$99 Tablet: Acer’s Iconia B1 7-inch Android tablet in early 2013
The new Acer Iconia B1, Acer’s $99 tablet is now preparing for its early launching in 2013.
Acer plans to launch its $99 tablet early next year in order compete with others tablets in the market today.
According to The Wall Street Journal source:
The world’s fourth-largest PC maker by shipments hopes to be the first big-brand company to launch a tablet priced to jostle with Chinese white-box tablet makers for consumers in developing countries.
Analyst Christine Wang from Daiwa Securities stated:
“Chinese white-box tablet makers are expected to sell some 60 million tablets next year, so it is a really big market”
“None of the major PC brands sells a tablet right now priced to compete with them right now”
Acer’s plan in releasing its new $99 tablet is part of company’s emerging market on high-demand low-cost tablets. The new Acer Iconia B1 is 7-inch, 1024 x 600 resolution screen, and 1.2 GHz dual-core processor is the Android tablet that gives technology user needs in piece of pad.
