Report says an anonymous bidder is paying a record $3,456,789 to eat lunch with the American business magnate Warren Buffett, according to the beneficiary of the auction.

The beneficiary charity, Glide, the San Francisco Bay anti-poverty organization stated that the auctions on eBay got more than a hundred of inquiries but there are only 10 active bidders. The auction started last Sunday and closed Friday at 10:30 p.m. ET.

The charity goal is to pull in more than $500,000 but they didn’t expect to get an almost $3.5 million amount.

Rev. Cecil Williams, Glide founder, quoted in a statement “We are shouting, dancing, rejoicing and celebrating. It’s quite an experience.”

We have made history, thanks to Warren Buffett,” Williams added.

Reports also added that Warren Buffett has raised more than $11.5 million for the organization, not including the year 2012 auctions.
