15.5-pound baby, Chun Chun was born last Saturday, February 4, 2012 in Xinxiang City, Henan province in Central China, several international news sites reported, baby Chun Chun has set the record for the heaviest baby born in China. (Video and photos of the 15.5-pound baby below this article)

According to reports, 15.5-pound baby Chun Chun was China‘s heaviest baby on record. Chun Chun was a cesarean delivery that lasted around 20 minutes.

Wang Yujuan, 29, Chun Chun’s mother, told local reporters, “I clearly felt that my body was more clumsy than when I had been pregnant with my daughter. My belly was bigger than it was then.”

I guessed the baby would be between ten and 11 pounds. I never expected to hear that he weighs 15.5-pounds,” Wang said.

Reports added, Wang and his 15.5-pound baby are doing fine and the year of the dragon is considered a very lucky time to have a child.

Han Jingang, the proud father of Chun Chun said, “Today is the first day of spring in the Chinese calendar and he’s a ‘dragon baby’.I feel very happy.”
